EPDM Rubber Roofing Specialists in Coventry
Welcome to the future of flat roofing. EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a high-performance synthetic rubber membrane, engineered to provide a completely seamless and exceptionally durable waterproof solution for your flat roof. At L&D Sky High Roofing, we are certified installers of this market-leading system. We provide Coventry homeowners and businesses with a technically superior roof that offers unrivalled protection and a lifespan of over 50 years.
The Ultimate Solution for a Watertight Roof
For decades, the primary weakness of traditional felt flat roofs has been the seams. Bonded with perishable adhesives, these joints inevitably fail over time, allowing water to penetrate. EPDM technology solves this problem entirely.
On most residential projects, such as garages, dormers, and extensions, we install the EPDM membrane in a single, large sheet. This means there are no seams, no joints, and no weak points, creating one continuous, impenetrable surface. It is incredibly resistant to blistering, cracking, and rotting, and its flexibility allows it to adapt to temperature changes without strain, ensuring it remains stable and effective for decades.
Our Service Process
Step 1: Deck Preparation & Survey
A perfect EPDM installation requires a perfectly sound base. We begin by stripping the old roof and inspecting the timber deck, making any necessary repairs to create a smooth, clean surface.
Step 2: Membrane Adhesion
We expertly apply a specialist bonding adhesive before skilfully laying the single-sheet EPDM membrane, ensuring it is perfectly positioned and free of creases for a flawless finish.
Step 3: Edge Detailing & Finishing
The final, critical step is to mechanically fix and seal all edges and corners with bespoke EPDM trim and detailing. This ensures the entire system is fully integrated and completely weatherproof.

When you choose L&D Sky High Roofing to install your new EPDM roof, you are investing in a proven, cutting-edge system installed by certified professionals. Very quick turnaround from quote to finishing the job. Lee and the team were excellent and very courteous. More damage was found underneath the roof but this was rectified easily. Highly recommend after using this company twice

NuneatonYour EPDM Roofing Questions
EPDM is considered one of the most environmentally friendly roofing options. It has a low-impact manufacturing process, is incredibly long-lasting (reducing waste), and is often fully recyclable at the end of its service life.
We do not recommend this. To ensure the performance of the EPDM system and the validity of its guarantee, it is essential to install it onto a sound, clean roof deck. We always strip the old roof covering completely to inspect the deck and prepare it properly.
Yes. In the unlikely event of a puncture (e.g., from a sharp object), EPDM is straightforward to repair. A patch can be seamlessly bonded to the existing membrane, restoring the roof's complete waterproof integrity without compromising the system.
